I spent most of today clearing inventory (removed about 1000 items) and getting stuff for Winterstock prepared (Fashion show in Nov) and organizing my textures (replacing my non faceted gemstone textures and working on making them work) and drawing in my head my new jewelry release (for hopefully Friday) and my 60L Sunday piece.

This is what I do when I build, I sit in my photo studio in some pose and build on a black box next to it. It’s as classy as classy gets, hah.

Day3

Yes, I am bald. I spend so much time bald when I got the new Laqroki Tess skin (I’ve worn Tess since 07) and saw there were hair heads I peed my pants! FINALLY people will stop asking me “are you bald or is your hair not rezzing” or “Do you have cancer or something?” (WTF!?!?) whenever they TP me while I was working.

Pants: Tres Blah Juju jeans.
Shoes: no idea, probably ETD’s Kristin boots but like you can see the primwork.
Shirt: L$1 Ozimals dollarbie Team Bunny shirt. (go get it please).

1 of 365…maybe. Or 52! :)

I’ve heard of various 365 projects. My husband collected music from the 365 days music project (which makes him horrid to have with on long trips sometimes!). I’ve followed (and still following) a few on flickr- one being this guy who takes pics with his macbook every day. So when I read about this 365 avatar pics I thought- well I will try!

You’ll get a guaranteed 52 from me, but I’m going to attempt a 365.  Over here at Tymmerie’s blog she’s going to do it and her inspiration was from Chestnut here.  Hopefully this will make me spend more time with this domain and this blog.

Come see the sexier side of Kess

Hello everyone, my name is Kesseret Steeplechase. Many people don’t know me but the ones that do know me for my inworld stores (KessKreations and Hilarious), Metavirtual, and my work with my BFF Marissa during her Second Life studies. I purchased the domain virtualfatshionista.com over a year ago (around the same time I started Metavirtual) and had planned to do a community blog with Marissa. Marissa left SL so VF sat vacant. So vacant up until last week it had WP 2.5 installed on it. I met Elzbieta Fallen and she had interest in blogging with me on this site so I upgraded WP and decided to start up the ‘ol blog.

I read about Hybrid’s blogger challenge while perusing my feed and I thought, “How freaking AWESOME!”. I saw many of my favorite bloggers participate and I thought maybe I should show off some of the looks Kess gets away with inworld.

Normally my avatar dresses just like I do in real life. Kesseret the avatar is an extension of Christine the real person. Kesseret is 5 feet tall just like me. She’s been accused of ageplay and kicked and banned for being a child avatar but I’m clearly not a child avatar. This outfit was inspired by my normal day to day wear. I like to wear babydoll tops but the kind that don’t encourage people asking me when the baby is due.  I love jeans but rarely with patterns on them. However when I saw these jeans I had purchased from Last Call some years ago I thought it was neat that they matched the Bare Rose top! I just had to go with them! I don’t wear Chuck Taylors in real life, but my husband and step-son do.  I wear slip on shoes for day to day and New Balance when I run. However, these Akeyo chucks completed the casual look for Kesseret. My skin has very little makeup on as I normally don’t wear makeup. It was a hassle finding a skin for Kesseret because I wanted a very clean minimal makeup skin.

Hello Second Life and Welcome to Virtual Fatshionistas!

Hi my name is Elzbieta Fallen and I am a plus size woman making my around this world known as second life.  I am here along with my soul sister Kesseret Steeplechase to tell you fashion isn’t just for the skinny anymore.  Us plus size ladies are large and in charge and ready to show you our version of beauty.  I am very excited about Virtual Fatshionista particularly in light of a recent blog challenge a friend of mine told me about recently.  Hybrid Ansar via her blog Hybrid’s Fantastical Fashion Phenomenon, recently challenged her readers and friends to oreate a plus size avatar and style it to the nines.  Well Kess and I are taking it one step further – we will be presenting looks that are not only well designed but also work with plus size avatars.  And oh, I would be completely remiss without paying homage to Khitten Kurka, her fashion blog and her dedication to showing that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.  So here we go – Fatshionistas Post Take One, Roll ‘Em…
